The Covid-19 pandemic saw the gaming industry flare up due to people being stuck at home with nothing to do. However, this boom has passed and a decline is being felt in the market.

Reliance on indoors entertainment had people running to gaming platforms during lockdowns. Brandon Williams, aka BWpaco, affirmed that both viewers and streamers were gathering on Twitch as interest in video games peaked.

However, the aftermath of the pandemic is being felt in the recession and with most people going back to work, gaming enthusiasts no longer have time or money to spend on the industry. In the end, even major brands such as Activision Blizzard and Nvidia have reported a decrease in games-related revenue.
