“Pentiment” follows an itinerant artist from the 16th century

Games often offer players characters such as zombie hunters and knights. However, in Obsidian Entertainment’s latest title, “Pentiment”, players follow the journey of a manuscript artist.

The hero is named Andreas Maler, who is an itinerant artist from the 16th century in Bavaria. One day, he finds himself involved in a series of murders in the fictional town of Tassing. Even if it remains an RPG game, “Pentiment” also has a major focus on art history. For instance, the graphics mimic the aestheticism of Renaissance illuminations and woodcuts. Furthermore, players will notice that the dialogue is written with a pen to push the realism even further.
