“Pokémon Sleep” will reward players for sleeping

The Pokémon Company is planning to turn your sleep into entertainment with the release of “Pokémon Sleep”.

The video game will be set on a small island where players will carry out research on the sleeping behaviour of Pokémon. Throughout their journey, players will be accompanied by a large Snorlax and Neroli, a professor who is studying the creatures.

A Pokémon GO Plus+ accessory will also be available to track one’s sleep. Users can place it by their pillow, and it will feature the voice of Pikachu offering cute prompts when it is time to wake up or go to bed. According to the developers, the longer a player sleeps, the more points they will score which will increase their chances of seeing more Pokémon appear on screen. “Pokémon Sleep” is scheduled for summer 2023.
